MSU hosts panel discussing the arts and the aftermath of Ferguson

On February 8th, spoken word artist and Long Island University professor Jamila Lyiscott and New York City College of Technology professor Lavelle Porter visited Montclair State University to speak at “Beyond Ferguson: Poetry, Prose, & Activism after Michael Brown.” Discussion topics included reactions to the events in Ferguson, how the arts can shape our worldviews, educators in urban communities, and what comes next.
