“The Weeks” Break Through the Music Scene

Indie Rock Band Offers Exciting Pop/Rock Twist

“She kissed my lips and quickly ran away” are just a few lyrics to The Weeks most popular song and current single, “Buttons.” Seen this past summer at the 2014 Firefly Music Festival, The Weeks have not been taking many weekends off. The band is constantly preforming and promoting their Indie Rock sound. Since the formation of their band in Jackson, Mississippi in 2006, The Weeks have had a total of four albums and just recently released four new singles. In September 2012, The Weeks were signed to Kings of Leon’s own record label entitled, “Serpents and Snakes Records,” and have relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.

Through all of the attention, The Weeks have worked to maintain the existence of their band and keep the music alive. The band has had a total of nine members since it was first created. Today, The Weeks consists of: Uel Dee – Guitar, Vocals, Cyle Bones – Vocals, Cain Cobra – Drums, Dee Bone – Bass and Admiral Collier – Piano, Organ.

The Weeks have been compared to bands such as Kings of Leon and Cold War Kids, but with a greater rock twist. Their head-bobbin music is both lyrically and instrumentally brilliant. The band recently released a new version of their current single, but with more of a pop twist showcasing their ability to incorporate various styles.
