Montclair State University held an official dedication for its new Center for Environmental and Pharmaceutical Life Sciences on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. It also featured a panel discussion on ‘The Future of Science.’ The event featured Mark Kelly: former NASA Astronaut, U.S. Navy Captain and test pilot as well as Robert Hariri: chairman, founder and chief scientific officer for Celgene Cellular Therapeutics.
This 55 million dollar building is the second Montclair State construction project funded by the “Building Our Future” Bond Act approved by NJ voters in 2012. It has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification from the United States Green Building Council. This project adds to the University’s three existing science buildings: Science Hall, Richardson Hall & Mallory Hall.
