Ryan Miller, a television and digital media student received a heart transplant that saved his life while still in high school. While taking a documentary course at Montclair State, he told his professor Steve McCarthy his desire to travel to Bermuda to meet the parents of the 15-year old who had saved his life. McCarthy, who specialized in domestic and international affairs was eager to start the project and take his students on a three-day trip to Bermuda.
This wasn’t the only travelling that the students of TV and digital media experienced though. During the semester opportunities have arose for students to travel to countries such as Tunisia, Austria, and Italy.
