Students Bridge Culture Gap with Ice Cream

Montclair State University's Muslim Student Association Preaches Tolerance

This past Tuesday Montclair State University’s Muslim Student Association, also known as the MSA, held an ice cream social. There goal of this event was to bring students together as well as bring awareness of the organization and their many programs. One of the MSA’s active members, Selma Hassan, described their mission to prove that Muslim students are no different than any other students on campus. She went on to talk about the symbolism of the ice cream showing that no matter who you are, where you are from, or what your religious views are- everyone loves ice cream.
