Red Hawks start season 0 -2

Fall to Salisbury University 46 - 14

Montclair State’s Football program has not only been successful the past years, but won 1/3 of the NJAC title last season. However this team also dealt with key injuries, including star running-back Denzel Nieves, who’s skill and explosiveness would have been much needed in the crushing loss to Morrisville State that lead to MSU missing the playoffs. Starting up this season, MSU lost the season opener to Delaware Valley for the second year in a row, but were looking to bounce back at home against Salisbury University. Now healthy, they look to fight back from their week 1 loss and reclaim the NJAC Championship, and hopefully this year, get an entry into the playoffs.

The Red Hawks lost the game 46-14 and are now 0-2.
