Fairytale believers rejoice for Cinderella

Fairytale believers rejoice because a new version of the classic Disney’s Cinderella is coming to the big screen.

Disney is taking a second chance at Cinderella, but this time around as a film, starring Cate Blanchett, Lily James, Richard Madden, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Blanchett plays the evil and wicked stepmother. Bonham Carter is Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. Lily James is Cinderella and Richard Madden plays Prince Charming.

Judging by the first trailer of the film, the storyline is just like the cartoon version Disney made in 1950. But even if you have watched the old classic, the new version is more magical than ever.

The tail follows Cinderella whose father remarries after the death of her mother. The new stepmother named Lady Tremaine and her daughters, Anastasia and Drizella, move-in into the family home making Cinderella’s life a living hell. A short time later, Cinderella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she suddenly finds herself at the total mercy of her very cruel new family. But thanks to a fairy godmother, she wins the heart of Prince Charming.

Will Cinderella be as big as Disney’s previous box office hit Maleficent?

Cinderella arrives in theaters March 13, 2015.
