Crazy, Stupid, Fun!

“Some of the best memories are made from the most unexpected moments,” explained old time prankster, Robert Kiely Jr., to his daughter, Sarah Kiely.

When I was younger, my friends and I were reckless. Getting into a little trouble was one thing; not getting caught was another. That was the best of all. My buddy Billy and I were always getting into something wild. Everything started in November. We thought we would just go to his house in Blairstown and hang for a bit, but little did we know how the night would go. When we got to his house, no one ended up being there. So we decided to go inside just for a bit and make some food. Out of complete boredom I guess, we thought it was a good idea to do the cinnamon challenge, but with slim fast. Billy choked it up so hard, all you saw was powder fly out of Billy’s mouth! That was the end of that. I knew I wasn’t going to do it, that’s why he went first.

Billy got a call from his girlfriend Melinda to go and get her. She lived in Morristown as well, so back we went. But out of nowhere… a blizzard comes. We were now stuck there, so we decided to have a few more friends over. The idea of setting up huge barrels of hay across the street seemed like a great plan at the time. Then… we lit them on fire. Why not? They were smoking like crazy and huge. Out of nowhere the cops came and we booked it! As I’m running, all I see are flashing lights and blaring sirens everywhere. I ran so fast, all of a sudden, I realized I was back at Billy’s house. No one was there still. I couldn’t get in, and it was cold as hell out. I crawled in the dog house with his Saint Bernard and passed out there. Billy’s mom found me in the morning. All she saw were my feet sticking out. She freaked out, not realizing it was me and almost called the cops. Billy finally got there and we just hung out all day. No one ever found out. Not even his mom or mine. We were bad.
