CARPE DIEM: The Oldest Theater in Montclair

On this episode of Carpe Diem, host Ericka Hernandez, a TVDM major in the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University, is joined by the owners of the Old Mogul Theater, Joann Smalls and Kazim Mirza, to talk about their hopes of uplifting the community with good music and unique art through the Old Mogul Theater.

The Old Mogul Theater is the oldest theater in Montclair, New Jersey. It originally opened in 1920, but was closed due to a high crime rate in the area. In recent years, the theater was refurbished and had its grand re-opening in December 2015.
