CARPE DIEM: Runway of Dreams

On this episode of Carpe Diem, host Chelsea Hermann, a TVDM major in the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University sits down with Mindy Scheier, the founder of the Runway of Dreams Foundation and her son Oliver, to get an inside look at a foundation that is taking the fashion world by storm.

Mindy studied Fashion Design at the University of Vermont and at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Florence, Italy. It wasn’t until her son Oliver was born with muscular dystrophy that she realized there was an entire demographic that wasn’t being serviced by the fashion industry. By creating the Runway of Dreams Foundation, she made it her mission to spread awareness and fight for clothing that fulfills the needs of this population.
This episode was hosted by TVDM major Chelsea Hermann and directed by TVDM major, Samantha Romano.
