Carpe Diem: Psychotherapy Stripped

The authors of Bare: Psychotherapy Stripped – This week on Carpe Diem

Airing on CARPE DIEM October 6th – 10th, 2014

This week on Carpe Diem, host Krystal Acosta sits down with the authors of a new psychological case study book, Bare: Psychotherapy Stripped. Authors Dr. Jacqueline Simon Gunn and Carlo DeCarlo give a first-hand look at a psychologist and her internal thoughts and reasoning as she sits down with her patients and helps them work through their treatments. No two patients’ stories are the same, but she somehow finds a way to connect one to another.

This book breaks down the wall between patient and doctor because the authors include so much of the protagonist’s internal struggles and how they are reflected in her own patients’ therapy. Whether its love, fear, rejection, abandonment or death, readers will live through the traumas of the patients, as if they were the psychologist.

This episode was produced and hosted by Carpe Diem Series Producer, Krystal Acosta and directed by TVDM major, Weaam Ali.
