CARPE DIEM: A lifeline for women and children in Post-Taliban Pakistan

On this episode of Carpe Diem, host Eileen Foti, formerly an assistant professor in the Department of Arts and Design here at Montclair State University, sits down with Zebu Jilani, Founder and President of the Swat Relief Initiative, to talk about the impact that SRI has had and continues to have on the villages in the Swat Valley region of Pakistan.

For many years, Eileen has been working on projects that use art and education as a means of achieving positive social transformation in challenged communities. A year ago, she had the pleasure of meeting Zebu, the inspirational visionary behind Swat Relief Initiative, also known as SRI.

SRI has forged alliances with many other international humanitarian organizations and have also cultivated a dedicated group of funders and volunteers. In this episode, we will see video from a recent SRI fundraising event here in New Jersey.

This episode was produced and hosted by Eileen Foti, and directed by TVDM major, Silas Kezengwa.
