CARPE DIEM: 2015 Broadcaster of the Year, Janice Huff

On this episode, host Marc Rosenweig, associate professor in the School of Communication and Media welcomes Janice Huff, chief meteorologist at NBC 4 in New York. Huff is an award winner, who recently celebrated her 20th Anniversary at NBC 4, where she’s covered a wide-variety of weather events, from the blizzard of ’96 to Hurricane Sandy.

She’s been honored for her work on Wednesday’s Child, a weekly segment that helps find adoptive families for children in foster care. Prior to joining NBC 4, Huff was the primary meteorologist at KRON-TV in San Francisco. She also worked for local stations in St. Louis, Columbus, Georgia and Chattanooga.

Huff is the 2015 recipient of the Allen B. Dumont Broadcaster of the Year award from Montclair State’s School of Communication and Media.
