Can’t Make the Final Four? Do it On Campus!

Montclair State Prepares Campus Events to Celebrate Women's Basketball

You don’t need to go to Michigan to cheer on Montclair State University’s Women’s Basketball team in its Final Four appearance.

Friday at 7:30 p.m., the Red Hawks will take on the George Fox University Bruins in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is the team’s first appearance in the Division III Final Four since the NCAA was established.

There is plenty going on across campus for those who can’t trek out to Michigan, though.

Starting a half hour before tip-off, 90.3 WMSC Radio will provide coverage. WMSC General Manager Dick Hinchliffe stayed behind to help coordinate coverage from Schmitt Hall.

Meanwhile, several students, including “Stickin’ to Sports” host Brian Goudsward, will provide coverage from Michigan. Listeners can tune in, visit, or listen on the Live365 app.

Montclair is also hosting viewing parties for those who would rather watch the game. The alumni party will start at 7 p.m. and will be in the 7th floor conference center in University Hall. Complimentary food and drink will be offered. Space is limited, so alumni are advised to RSVP.

There will also be a viewing parties for current students in Dinallo Heights’ Multipurpose Room and in the Student Recreation Center’s lobby. Both parties begin at 7 p.m. and will offer refreshments.

Fans are already following the team’s progress on social media using Twitter #MSURedHawksFinal4.
