A Sense of Community Still Alive and Well

Battling Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy

William Jones and his wife Sue are the parents of three and his family lives their day-to-day lives in Bloomfield. His oldest Will (8) and Claire (3) were born healthy. However due to a complication during labor, their youngest Colin now two years old, was born with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, a brain injury caused by asphyxia. Colin does not have the ability to swallow, or typical control of his body and requires 24-hour care. He receives several therapies weekly to help with his condition and accommodate his abilities. Some of these treatments and equipment are covered by insurance but not all of it is. The tricky tray was held on October 26, 2013, but it’s still not enough. Consider donating to the Colin Michael Fund and show that the sense of community is alive and well. Jones is the Grants Accountant in the Finance Department at Montclair State University.
