Carpe Diem Welcomes the Allen B. Dumont Broadcaster of the Year

Host, Marc Rosenweig, associate professor in the School of communication and Media at Montclair State University, sits down with Kristine Johnson, co-anchor of the 5pm and 11pm news at CBS 2 in New York and recipient of Montclair State’s Allen B. Dumont broadcaster of the year award.

She’s an Emmy-award winner, who’s equally at home both behind the anchor desk and reporting from the field. She has covered a multitude of stories from the devastation of Superstorm Sandy to the tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. She also traveled to Boston to report on the Boston Marathon bombing. Prior to joining CBS 2 News, Kristine was an anchor at MSNBC and also anchored for NBC’s “Early Today” and weekend “Today” show. She worked at WPRI-TV in Providence for a decade before coming to New York.
