200 Rooms to Be Tripled

ResLife Will Triple Rooms in Four Buildings Next Year

With housing selection for the 2015-2016 academic year in full swing, students are noticing a new option to choose: triples. Starting next year, 200 rooms in Freeman, Russ, Bohn and Blanton Halls will be tripled, bringing the number of residents to approximately 5,200. In order to accommodate the extra resident in each room, Residence Life has also purchased new furniture designed to make the living space in a triple comfortable for those who choose to reside there.

Some students are concerned about the number of people in one room, but others are thankful for the price cut residents who live in triples will receive. For the 2014-2015 academic year, doubles in Bohn, Blanton and Freeman cost $3,994 per semester and triples cost $2,934 per semester.

Residence Life also encourages students to visit the mock triple that has been set up on the fourth floor of Bohn Hall.
